Dr Jung completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, where he was awarded a Doctor of Medicine. He subsequently undertook extensive psychiatry training across a broad range of metropolitan and regional settings in Victoria and Queensland, gaining experience with diverse populations and clinical contexts. Dr Jung is a well-rounded psychiatrist with experience across general adult psychiatry, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychotic illnesses, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). He has a particular interest in young adult mental health and early intervention, informed by both his clinical work and research involvement with Orygen. His practice is guided by a focus on recovery, functional improvement, and supporting individuals to build confidence, resilience, and meaningful engagement in their personal, social, and occupational lives.
Dr Jung is also actively involved in medical education and is a lecturer at Bond University and Griffith University Schools of Medicine. He is an active member of the RANZCP Faculty of Adult and Youth Psychiatry, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice. Dr Jung is also fluent in Korean, and he truly understands the importance of being culturally aware and sensitive. He is dedicated to creating an inclusive and respectful therapeutic space that supports patient-centred care and shared decision-making. Outside of work, Dr Jung is a passionate soccer enthusiast, both as a devoted follower of major international clubs and as an active player, an interest that reflects his appreciation of the teamwork, discipline, and balance that sport brings to life.
