Dr Deanna Grose
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Deanna Grose is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a special interest in ADHD born and raised in Perth, where she graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1995 after obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She completed an additional five years of specialist training in Psychiatry and received her Fellowship with the WA Branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2004.
Having worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist within the public and private sector for nearly 20 years Deanna has gained extensive knowledge and experience which includes a term as Head of Clinical Services and Clinical Lead of Extended Care Services at Graylands Hospital. She has previously held a chair on the Board for the Mental Health Law Centre and more recently has worked at Perth Clinic.
Deanna welcomes patients from 17 years of age and has a passion for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She is aware of how this diagnosis can often go undetected and is dedicated to ensuring patients have access to comprehensive assessment and treatment in a timely manner. She sees patients from all cultural backgrounds, and respectfully acknowledges the effect these factors may have on their treatment.
To ensure a comfortable and stress-free process, Deanna provides a combination of psychopharmacological and supportive treatment regimes as she recognises that ADHD can affect all aspects of a person’s life. Deanna will work with you collaboratively to seek the best possible outcome by optimising any medication that may be required and improving your day-to-day functioning. Anxiety and mood disorders are also of special interest as it is recognised that whilst these disorders may occur alone, they can often mask undiagnosed ADHD.
With accreditation to Perth Clinic, Deanna is able to offer referral to day patient therapies but is not currently able to offer inpatient admission.
Deanna looks forward to welcoming you to her practice.
